The Roots of Lindy Hop
Some inspiration for our upcoming asynchronous course: DEL Tracing Footsteps — Journey into Jazz Dance: Let’s Swing!
Join us for an asynchronous course investigating the DEL Tracing Footsteps — Journey Into Jazz Dance: Let’s Swing! curriculum, which explores the early roots of jazz dance and Lindy Hop.
This course was previously only offered in-person. We’re thrilled to be sharing it with more of our community through this asynchronous option!
One Tracing Footsteps participant has shared:
“Although I have not taught Jazz dance, with the resources provided I will be able to teach the content to my students.”
Check out this sample course content: “Solo Jazz Steps 1.” Understand the history of Lindy Hop through learning these Solo Jazz steps: the Boogie Back, the Strut Forward, the Fall Off the Log, and the Charleston Variation.
This is just one example of what you’ll be able to share with your students after taking this course.
We hope you’ll join us this fall to learn more about the roots of jazz dance and Lindy Hop. And don’t forget — this course is entirely asynchronous, and you’ll receive access to all course materials for a full year.
